Ender 3 Printers can use either PLA or ABS filament. The safest filament to use is PLA. At Vegas3DKids we exclusive use PLA Filament. Below are the brands that we suggest for successful prints. When purchasing filament, it must be 1.75 mm. PLA, PLA+, or PLA 2 all work on the Ender 3.
Filament comes in hundreds of different colors. We have singled out black filament because often times black filament can be discolored. Below are our recommendations.
eSUN PLA PRO (PLA+)
eSun PLA Pro (PLA+) makes an incredible black filament. It prints evenly and the color is vibrant. Some black filaments can print out too light, looking almost gray. This filament does not have that problem. This prints well at 220 degrees. Available on Amazon.
Hatchbox is a great alternative for black filament. The color is darker than eSUN's black. This filament prints well at 210 degrees. Available on Amazon.
Metallic Silk Filament
Metallic silk filament is fun to use in 3D printing. We use silk filaments for a majority of our design projects. We love printing with CC3D, SUNLU, and Eryone. CC3D makes amazing silk colors. Below are our favorite silk colors. Click on the pictures to go to Amazon. We do not receive any commissions on sales. All opinions are our own.
